So I wanted to do a light-hearted blog post today, one that everyone could enjoy! It has been a strange week for me, lots of things going on and I didn't fancy being too serious. So instead I thought why not share my top 5 Disney movies. I don't think I've ever met someone who hasn't loved at least one Disney movie! I mean there is a lot but they are so well made and usually so well cast it's a given really.

My Top 5 Essential Items For Students

Students, you may be or have been one or know one but with more and more people staying in education and attending higher education places of studying, the odds of speaking to a student are basically a given. Did you know, that being a student is one of the hardest times of your life; 1 in 4 are believed to suffer from some form of mental illness during this period. Deadlines, Financial problems, Stress, Pressure and Exams can be too much for most and like becomes a struggle.

5 Inspirational People Who Helped Me Decide To Blog

So when I decided to start blogging it wasn't just a switch turning on; it was a series of small decisions. I wanted to help, inspire, influence, educate and entertain other people as I had seen many other people do before me. I saw it as a platform to build more advocacy for the illnesses I suffered from and a way of helping people, however, it also to allow me to get down what I was feeling or reviews of things I really loved.

There were a few people who really pushed me into blogging, and I'm so glad they did because, through this blog and the social media accounts for this blog, I have found some really lovely people and support I have barely found at all in my real life. These are in no specific order but they all made an impact!

Chronic illness is hard to deal with in any situation but living alone can make dealing with it seem impossible. I've have been living alone for 2 years now, in that time period I've gained another diagnosis had another operation and survived living on basically nothing.

So James and I had been waiting for this since Christmas. The film is one of my favourites, and Jack Black plays the role SO well so I was worried that no one could live up to the expectation. We had seen a preview of a song or two on X-Factor which brought our attention to the show!
I took so long to get ready, (my own fault) it seemed to take forever to get up to London because the trains were messed up and I felt sick and achy. I had started the day off badly and was worried this would affect how much I enjoyed it. I was so so wrong.

Top Tips For Increasing Motivation

Mess works for me.

So you sit down to do work or revision...You may have deadlines to do, you may already feel stressed, you may be way behind and want to cry. You've lost all motivation, you're unhappy and you want to quit. Wait. Have a drink, a break and i shall tell you some of my personal top tips to stay motivated. 

Unlike my blog posts on Staying On Top Of Work and Keeping Positive And Combating Stress motivation is a completely different thing. You can be relaxed, be up to date with work, be in a good mind set but find yourself completely unmotivated to do any work. Don't panic, everyone and i mean everyone will face a lack of motivation at some point. Please don't feel pressured and that you're the only one, it's totally normal. I have faced it a few times in the last month let alone in my whole life! I'm going to share how i re-motivated myself, and i hope it can help you too!

Tips For Days You Find Yourself Bed Bound

So you're stuck in bed; pain, exhaustion, weakness etc have stuck you down. You are pre, post or currently in a flare up or are bed ridden for another reason such as surgery. You struggle to do anything and everything and to top it off you're bored. What could possibly help, can anything make it manageable?

I've written some of my top tips for coping with being bed bound from a day to a few weeks. No one likes just lying there staring at walls and thinking. These are personal things that have got me through many flare ups and 2 back surgery recovery times. I'm not saying it cures, stops or decreases the effects of being bed-ridden; these are merely ways of trying to cope and manage when it's happening.

Illumicrate - Bookish Subscription Box - Unboxing

As it was world book day yesterday and I received this box this week I thought I'd do a review/unboxing! 

So i wanted to try out a subscription box based on all things books. I've had a graze boxes before which is foodie goodness but i wanted something i could really enjoy; and that i would like anything they chucked at me just because books. I looked around for a while, in fact i spent about a month  researching all the boxes i could find on Cratejoy. Money is tight, so i didn't want something expensive, i was happy to go for something that was sent out quarterly for a good price, which is when i found illumicrate. I read all about it and decided it sounded perfect for what i wanted.
